Motorcycle Sales

Job Description


Job Duties and Tasks:

  • Sells motorcycles while attaining dealership gross profit, volume, and customer  satisfaction standards
  • Reviews ongoing performance results to targets. Takes corrective measures with authorization, escalate as needed
  • Introduces customers to service department personnel to emphasize to them the quality and efficiency of service repairs and maintenance available in the dealership’s service department
  • Fosters a cooperative and harmonious working climate conductive to maximize employee morale and productivity
  • Ensure proper and timely greeting of customers entering the dealership
  • Offers test drives to prospects.  Follows dealership procedure to obtain proper identification from customer prior to test drive
  • Structure deals in accordance with lender and dealership guidelines
  • Consistently uses dealership sales control and follow-up system with 100% of leads entered into the Customer Relations Management (CRM) tool
  • Complete all paperwork in a timely manner as defined by dealership policy
  • Logs potential leads into dealership’s customer relationship management system daily
  • Keeps General Manager promptly and fully formed of all problems or unusual matters of significance and takes prompt corrective action where necessary or suggests alternative courses of action which may be taken
  • Ensures compliance with all state and federal discrimination and employment regulations


Knowledge, Experience, Education Required:

  • Three to five years outside sales experience in the motorcycle industry is highly preferred
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record/ motorcycle endorsement is required; endorsement may be obtained after start of employment
  • Knowledge of various makes and models of motorcycles, specifically Indian, Harley-Davidson, and Victory
